NEW COACHES: You will need to register for the KidSafe Program. Please click HERE to register online (through "Gotsoccer.com").

KYSC Volunteer Coaches - It is very important that you are registered for the "KIDS SAFE" program before the start of each season! Referees will be instructed to look for this at each team inspection before a game.

If you have not done so already, please go to GotSoccer Coach Profile login page. Click on > LOGIN under "Team & Team Officials" on the left side of the page, about half way down. From there you will enter your username and password under the INDIVIDUAL COACH area. If problems, click on Coach Account Lookup.

 Coaching Clinics

ALL KYSC Coaches must complete a Youth Soccer Coach License course (Coaching Clinic) within the first year of coaching. You will learn important techniques for coaching youth soccer players, practice organization, communication with parents, and safety issues along with practice activities and basic soccer techniques. The course is free for KYSC coaches provided they register using an assigned voucher. Voucher numbers are available by contacting the KYSC VP-Coaches. Coaches from other clubs will be charged the applicable course fees.

FREE COACHES CLINIC FOR KYSC COACHES - Presented by Steve Firth, Albion Hurricanes FC Academy Director

The free KYSC Soccer Coaches Clinic will be held Friday, September 18 from 7:00-8:00 pm on Field 14. Coaches will be shown different types of exercises to use in their KYSC training sessions. AHFC is committed to assisting the coaches with their coaching, technical and tactical development in the game of soccer. We want coaches and players to enjoy and understand the game and create an undeniable love and passion for the game which will last a life time. Come out to learn different types of exercises, activities and ideas which you can use and carry back to your own KYSC training sessions. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to learn more about training and share experiences with your fellow coaches, and Steve Firth.

Steve Firth is an ex professional soccer player from England, with a degree in Child Psychology. He also has both UEFA and USSF coaching licenses. His coaching experience has included the English Academies and Big 12 college soccer.

We look forward to seeing you all and wish you the best for the upcoming fall season!
Handouts will be available with different websites to help coaches with their training sessions.

STYSA bylaws require all coaches to complete a minimum coaching license (Youth Module) within one (1) year of beginning to coach. Failure to do so can result in being ineligible to continue coaching.

Coaches - Please do your best to make the games FUN for the players. If your team is dominating the game by more than 4 goals, possibly try some other strategies to make the game more enjoyable for both sides!

RESPECT On the Field!

 Coach Resources

Below we've posted some helpful links that can hopefully assist you in your role as a KYSC volunteer coach. You have taken the first step in becoming an important figure in making a difference in a child's life; helping them to learn the game of soccer, having fun, and playing with good sportsmanship!

Want to learn more about the specifics of an "Offside" call? Then click here to see a great pictorial description. (The offside rule is mainly enforced in the U11 and higher division games, however, it is also expected that at the U10 level, players start to become familiar with it.)
